Yard and Garden Tips

It is that time of the year when yard and garden enthusiasts are working hard to keep everything green and growing. With all of the moisture and cool weather we have experienced recently, most things are looking good.

All of us know Nebraska and how the weather can change suddenly from cool and wet to hot and dry. Changes in temperature and humidity and hot dry weather can bring problems in many plant species.

A very good source of information related to yards and gardens is available at your finger tips on the Internet. UNL Horticulturists provide weekly information on their website at: http://extensionhorticulture.unl.eu. This newsletter is updated weekly and past issues are archived for referring back for information pertinent at that time. Just type in this URL and click on “Updates” to accesses information on “what to watch for” and control recommendations.

Also extension horticulturists provide tips for maintaining healthy yards and gardens is available.
